Jay & Seema – Contemporary Style!

What an honor it is decorating for a close friend’s biggest day!  And when his desired colour palette happens to be one of your favourites, it’s an even bigger plus!

Their wedding took place at the lovely Swami Narayan Temple in Etobicoke.  The couple selected the Rajwadi Mandap – an open-concept Mandap with Ganesh statues in various poses carved into the pillars and a Swarovski crystal trim.  A large archway welcomed guests as they entered the hall, followed by a 40’ walkway complete with pedestals and statues.  We also brought in two life-size elephant statues to flank the wedding stage.  Seema made her grand entrance in our newest palanquin – the Peacock Doli – which (along with the bride, of course!) took the guests’ breath away!

Red Rose Convention Centre was the hall of choice for Jay & Seema’s reception.  Seema really wanted to incorporate black, white, and fuschia into her backdrop but didn’t quite know what she was looking for.  She knew she wanted it to be clean, contemporary, and for it to be beautifully draped.  I came up with a design that the couple approved of and I also brought in crystal curtains and LED lighting.  The couple relaxed on an intricately-carved loveseat for the reception program, flanked by crystal pedestals with arrangements on top.  We lit up the perimeter of the hall with fuschia-coloured lights which tied in perfectly with the centerpieces and backdrop.  Finally, the black chair covers & napkins and B&W damask tablecloths completed the overall effect the bride & groom had hoped for.

 Congratulations Jay & Seema!
