Oh man, do we love Winter Weddings! And Fusion Weddings! And weddings with lots of bling and florals… Well, this one had it all
On a magical day in February, this couple decided to tie the knot at the impressive St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto. Our mirror pedestals and large florals graced the altar, as our clients committed themselves to each other in this holy place. Our instructions were to not take away from the beauty of the Church, but to accent it… But come sundown, the Bride let our designers loose and said “Stun our guests, but keep it elegant!”. So we did. And they LOVED it!
In the Governor’s Ballroom at Liberty Grand Toronto, we created a large, tiered head table and adorned it with sequined fabrics, lush florals in mercury gold vases, and soft candlelight. The table where the B&G sat had a very large arrangement with hydrangeas, roses, and orchids. The tall floral centerpieces and the guest tables had matching flowers with hanging crystals, flanked by stemmed vases with floating candles. We introduced Chiavari chairs and gold lacquer charger plates into the hall, which lightened (weight-wise) the space and added some colour onto the guest tables. The bridal party was treated to glass Belmont charger plates with gold beading and multi-height candleholders. Not to be outdone, the Bride and Groom were seated on acrylic Tiffany chairs, which was the proverbial icing on the cake!
Overall, a very successful transformation to the space and one that won’t soon be forgotten. Especially since we attended this reception and it was an UNREAL party! Thanks again for the invite
Congratulations E & A!
